In the quiet of August 20, 2025, we said goodbye to Daniel P. Fair of Ossipee NH. Born on December 12 1969 in Boston, MA. Dan was proud to follow in his father's footsteps and serve as a United States Marine for over 14 years. Known for his quick wit, great sense of humor, kindness, dedication and generosity, which all lay just below the gruff exterior, used to hide scars no one could see. Dan fought illness for years, but always with a twinkle in his eyes as he did it his way. Dan leaves behind his son Daniel, daughter Alexandra, grandchildren Bryson, Leighton, Eleanor, Madison and Eli, brothers Bill, Tom and Steve, sisters Julie and Donna as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, George and Arlene and daughter Ashley. A compassionate soul with a heart of gold, his memory will live on. Dan left us too soon, like a gentle breeze, he touched our lives and moved on to his next journey. Dan's family's wish would be for anyone hurting to get the care and help they need and to tell those around you what they mean to you while still alive. Rest in peace, Semper Fi.

Daniel - you will be missed my man. It might surprise you, but I´ve thought of you often over the years. You were my teammate, workmate, and friend. Thoughts, prayers and deepest condolences to you, your family, and your friends. Peace, brother.

I proudly served with Dan while we were stationed at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, SC. Dan and my ex-wife grew up in the Lakes Region of NH. We loved talking about New England and our desires to return home to the Granite State. I retired from active duty in 2003 and went to back to NH. I wish we had not lost touch with each other. Dan was a good Marine, a good man, and someone others truly appreciated and respected. You will be missed.

I'm so incredibly sorry for your loss. Reading about Daniel, it's clear he was a truly special person-a Marine who served his country and a man whose kindness and humor touched so many.
