Daniel Scott Fleetwood

Daniel Scott Fleetwood (DFLeet), 32, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2015, at his residence in Spring, Texas. Daniel was born Sept. 30, 1983, in Galveston, Texas. He earned an associate's degree in computer technology followed by a rehabilitation counseling degree in 2008 and a master's in counseling with academic honors in 2010 from SFA. Daniel was president of the Academic Rehabilitation Club and very involved with CASA (Child Appointed Service Advocate), in addition to being the drummer in the Praise Band during college. Besides his love for Star Wars and video games, he enjoyed playing in different bands growing up, particularly his Sleeping in Transit Band, as drummer. He was known amongst friends as DFleet or Frost. In his senior year at SFA, he met his loving and devoted wife, Ashley Cohagan, and was married on July 31, 2010. They moved to Fort Worth, Texas, where Daniel interned and worked at DARS. In 2012, Daniel and Ashley moved to Spring, Texas, where Daniel found his dream job at MHMRA (Mental Health Mental Rehabilitation Association). They soon bought their home with plans to raise a family. After a few months, Daniel was diagnosed with cancer and fought bravely for over two years. His survivors include his loving wife, Ashley Cohagan Fleetwood of Spring, Texas; parents, Dennis and Brenda Fleetwood; sisters, Sarah Landers (Christian) and Olya Fleetwood; grandparents, Edmond and Doris Brister and JoAnn Fleetwood. He was preceded in death by Cecil Fleetwood (grandfather). Loving father and mother-in-law are Randy and Susan Cohagan; and brother-in-law, Matthew Cohagan. Daniel also leaves behind his loving "fur babies," Daisy, Maggie and Cora. Daniel is in heaven holding his sweet Lucy dog. Daniel will be dearly missed by a multitude of family and friends throughout the world. May the Force Be With You Master Jedi Daniel.
