Daniel Hall Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 19, 2025.
Daniel Keith Hall, 69, of Sparta passed unexpectedly August 17, 2025. Daniel was born May 9, 1956 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Keith and Cynthia Hall. He graduated from Sparta High School in 1974 and worked as a brick & stone mason for many years, contributing to projects that shaped Greater Grand Rapids and surrounding areas.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Marcy; his children Aaron (Kara), Reece, and Riley; his two grandsons Jackson & Dylan (and third grandson due November 2025); his sister, Mary Katherine (Tim), nieces Katherine (Mike) and Emma, and nephew Joseph. He is also survived by many cousins who were like siblings, friends who were like family, and his beloved dogs. Dan was preceded in death by his parents.

Daniel, nicknamed "Boone" due to his deep appreciation for hunting, fishing, and the outdoors, lived for summers spent at his Clear Lake family cottage, many trips to deer camp, and countless rounds of golf. He will be remembered by loved ones for his strong spirit, stubborn nature, and benevolent heart.

A celebration of life for Dan will be held in the coming months (date and location TBD). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Brain & Behavior Research Foundation or American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
