DANIEL HANNIMAN Obituary
Peacefully at the Ottawa Civic Hospital on Thursday, July 23, 2015, with his family by his side, Daniel James Hanniman of Morrisburg, formerly of Ottawa; age 60 years. Dear son of Theresa Hanniman-King of Pembroke. Cherished husband of Julie. Loving father of Autumn (Lloyd) Farmer of Fredericton, NB., and Elyisha (Mike Quackenbush) Hanniman of Halifax, NS. Beloved grandfather of Dylan, Nathan and Zade. Dear brother of Mary (Ron) Dashney, Gerald (Annette), Martin, Katherine (Alan Blimkie) Campbell and Gordon (Kelley) Hanniman. Sadly missed by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his father Lorne Hanniman and brother Michael Hanniman. A heartfelt thanks to Dan's best friend, Ross Doe, who has been there for us and helped us through so many situations. At Dan's request cremation has taken place. My sincere condolences to the Hanniman family. I knew Dan from his teaching days at the Canadian Police College with Ross. Dan was well liked by the students and shared many stories with us.

Tim to Dan : Can't sit still for 5 minutes, what am I going to do for 8 hours in a boat?
Tim to Dan : I have two young lads here that would love to go fishing.
Dan to Tim : I'll be right over and pick them up.

Sorry to hear about Dan's passing, he will be missed by many. He was always a great fishing partner, always willing to help fix problems when I bought my first boat and all around great guy. RIP Dan I will make a couple casts for you next time I am fishing.

Julie, Girls Autumn and Elyisha and families. You have lost a wonderful husband, father and grandfather way to soon. May all the memories you have in your hearts bring you comfort and peace.
Aunt Theresa, all my cousins and your families. You have lost a son, brother and uncle. Tons of memories you all must have of Danny growing up in Shamrock which you all must cherish in your hearts. As life would have it we all had to move on with our lives, careers and lost keeping in touch. My heart goes out to you all at this time of sorrow and loss.

Julie,
Dan was a great companion at work and on our piscatorial retreats. I learned a lot from him in both areas. He will be sorely missed, but forever remembered for his good nature and insight.

Sorry to hear of Dan's passing. Definitely to soon. Some say it is not what you do when you are fishing but what you do when your are not. Dan was always there for me helping out with boat problems and electronic installations. For that I very grateful to have had Dan as a friend. He was such a good man. We had some good times together during our fishing trip to Florida several years ago. Dan will certainly be missed by all.
