Dan passed peacefully in the comfort of his White Rock home with the Love of his Life of 38 years Susan by his side after a very full and happy life. Born in Central Butte, SK the surviving twin of parents Ed and Jessie Hemsworth, predeceased by his daughter Jane, sisters Jane and Gena. Dan exemplified the expression "a life well lived" enjoying boating, RVing, riding Harleys and being a private pilot throughout his life. Dan showed signs of entrepreneurial skills at an early age to help out the family. He grew into a hard working entrepreneur owning businesses from Saskatchewan, Alberta to Vancouver. Dan was a wonderful husband, father, friend and gracious host of many gatherings over the years, famous for his wicked sense of humour and storytelling. Dan was proud to be sponsored as a Mason by his father. He was the Architect/Captain of the 1st Vancouver Gizeh Shrine Provost Corp Drill Team, Commodore of the Gizeh Shrine Yacht Club and member of the RVYC. Dan is lovingly remembered by his sons Danny (Rea), Bevan (Katherine) and David (Noreen); stepson Rick (Melanie), grandchildren, great-grandchildren and families. Private Family Service.
