Daniel JOLICOEUR Obituary
Passed away suddenly on January 30, 2016 at the age of 49. Son of the late Gaston Jolicoeur. He leaves in sorrow his dear mother Aline Jolicoeur (Jean-Claude Boileau), his brothers and sisters Micheline (Luc) Moncion, François (Frances), Serge (Georgette), Sylvie (Denis Lacombe) and Lucie (Michel) Neveu. He also leaves many nephews, nieces, his godchildren Alexandra Brind'Amour and Brayden Gleason, family and friends, especially Nathalie and Josée. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday February 6, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. at Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes Church (435 Montreal Rd, Ottawa). The family will receive condolences from 9 a.m. at church.

Good bye dan dan I love you more then you think I'm always thinking of you playing football with ur name written on my back and I was truly blessed to not only have you as an uncle but as a best friend you mean more then the world to me I wish you could come back and we could play football together or wat h our Sunday games and go to my practices and I really miss hearing your voice on the sideline cheering for me you helped mom raise me which means allot to me and I don't care if your here or in heaven your still my uncle and my best friend I love you dan dan xoxox

Growing up with two sisters and seven cousins who are girls should have been a nightmare for me.
But it wasn't.
I may have been surrounded by girls during my childhood, but I also had uncles, uncles who at every opportunity made sure to give me special attention. And by special attention, I mean name calling, giving me bruises, and making fun of me. I didn't know it at the time, but that was their way of showing me love.
And nobody showed me more love than Dan.
Whether it was throwing me to the ground or having fun at my expense, he always made sure I knew that I was family.
Words can't fully express what that meant to me, but thank you. Thank you for your smiles and laughter, and showing us that life can be fun.
There are people in life that can never be forgotten, you are without a doubt one of those people.
Say hi to Dad and Grandpa for me.

Dan, mon p'tit frère, mom meilleur ami. Tu me manques déjà. Il n'y aurait jamais un partenaire comme toi pour les soirées de billards, nos aventures d'air show, les joutes de football Red Blacks, les courses d'auto et toute les autres sorties. Ton allure de faire rire ton entourage était veritable. Je t'aime beaucoup.

M'oncle Dan,
Ton sourrire, ton rire et ainsi ton enthusiame a toujours emporter beaucoup de joie à tout le monde qui a eu la chance de t'avoir connue.
J'ai beaucoup de bonne mémoire de toi, même après que tu as fermé une porte d'auto sur mon doigt quand j'avais à peu près 6 ans, mais j'étais toujours exciter de te voir quand même. Tu prenais toujours le temps pour moi, de m'écouter quand j'avais quelque choses à te dire ou même jouer avec mes hotwheels avec moi ou jouer des jeux.
Je me contre très chanceux de t'avoir connue et c'est mon grand privileges que je peut t'apeller mon oncle.

Mon beau Dan,
Tu étais le bébé d'une grande famille. Ta joie de vivre était exceptionnel. Tu étais le plus comique, le plus tanant, le plus loud et ah oui, surtout le plus beau.
Quand je penses à toi le sourire me vient facilement, même avec la tristesse du moment.
Je vais aussi manqué les p'tits bisous que tu me donnais sur le dessus de ma tête. Tu étais un p'tit beau-frère spéciale.

Dan'ss family: I am so sorry for your loss and sad that I wasn't able to make the funeral. Dan! ill always remember the great food that you cooked, our same taste in music, our mutual love for "pepe roderiguez" Some great memories in such a short span of time. M'n oncle Daniel
Ton départ à été beaucoup trop tôt et soudain.
Je te vois encore dehors de ton ancienne maison au coin de chez mes parents entrain de me saluer avec ton gros sourire et ta joie de vivre. Je n'oubliera surtout pas ton vieux Jeep de couleur "Midnight Blue" mais que nous sachont toute était vraiment de couleur mauve même si tu ne voulait jamais l'admettre.
Il faut aussi dire que nos réunions de famille Jolicoeur vont être un p'tit peu moins bruyante sans toi.
Pis Bonne Fête l'gros!!

Bonne fete mon beau ponpon! Je pense a toi et tu me manque enormement deja! Je manque ton beau sourire et ton sens d'humour j'arrive encore pas a y croire que tu nous a quitter. Jai tellement de beau souvenir avec toi, les party de karaoke dans la cave ou tu fesais semblant de jouer le piano en chantant tu etait un vrai de vrai Elton John.Tu savais toujours comment faire les gens qui tentour sourire Nous avons perdu une personne vraiment exeptionelle. To the Jolicoeur family, please accept my deepest condolences on the loss of Dan.
I was fortunate enough to get to know Dan over the last two years. He brought so much to the table, it's hard to capture it in words. He had a fantastic sense of humor, loved telling a great story and connecting with those in his company. His joie de vivre was contagious.
I learned early on of his strong commitment to family especially his nieces, nephews and god children - of whom he spoke often, proudly and with so much love.
He also became a friend to my special needs brother Paul. Paul enjoyed Dan's visits where they would often catch a game on tv, talk sports or make jokes. It wasn't unlike Dan to show up with a small gift for Paul just because.
Dan thank you for being our friend, we will miss you but always cherish the times we shared with you.
Rest in peace friend.

I have so many memories of karaoke, ski-doo trips, car races, noodle fights in the pool, birthdays and pulling pranks on people at work back in the day.
