Daniel Bert "Bertie" Ramirez

DANIEL BERT "BERTIE" RAMIREZ, 51, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 18, 2005 after 13 years of illness including diabetes, kidney failure, amputations and heart failure. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Ygnacia P. Bermudez. Survivors include his parents, Mary B. and Humberto S. Ramirez; sister, Virginia Ramirez; brothers, Gilbert E. and Robert R. Ramirez and his wife, Blanca; grandmother, Margarita Sepulveda Ramirez; nieces, Jocelyn Ramirez and Monica DeLeon and her daughter, Alyssa Rodriguez; nephews, Roland A., Eric A. and Robert "Bobby" Ramirez; grandmother, Margarita Sepulveda Ramirez and numerous other Ramirez Family members. Also surviving are numerous other relatives, including the Bermudez Family. Bertie loved sports, especially the Houston teams. He enjoyed being around people and music of all kinds. A Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Main Chapel of Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Funeral Service, 1:00 p.m. Thursday also in the Main Chapel with interment to follow in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery. The family wishes to gratefully acknowledge Dr's. Bishara, Haque, Mirza and Baig, as well as numerous other doctors who cared for Bertie during his illness. Also, special thanks to the Spring Branch Hospital ICU staff and Momentus Ambulance for their constant support and patience.
