Daniel Schedler Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 2, 2024.
Daniel Paul Schedler, 63, was called home to his loving Savior on June 13, 2024, in Grafton, Wisconsin. Born on September 8, 1960, at St. Mary's Hospital in Wausau, Wisconsin, he spent his life surpassing the ordinary, embodying a life of generosity and servanthood. He always lived beyond mediocrity and brought joy and laughter to every situation. Dan trusted the Lord in every moment and shared his passion for Christ with everyone he encountered. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin Madison with a degree in Chemical Engineering, Dan dedicated his career to the wastewater treatment industry, where he was highly respected for his expertise in system implementation and consulting. On September 6, 1986, Dan married his best friend, Linda, and raised four children, Brittney, Brooke, Joshua, and Bridget. Dan was a devoted member of Alliance Bible Church in Mequon, Wisconsin, where he formed many cherished relationships. His hobbies were as diverse as his skills, including woodworking, sailing, flying RC airplanes, beekeeping, hunting, fishing, and exploring the outdoors on his e-bike. Each hobby was a testament to his love for life and learning. Dan's legacy of love and laughter is carried on by his beloved wife, Linda Schedler; daughters, Brittney (Andy) Gradall, Brooke (Kevin) Stewart, and Bridget (Taylor) Gilbertson; son, Joshua Schedler; seven grandchildren; father, Richard Schedler; mother, Lorraine (Punke) Schedler; brothers, Jeffrey (Janie) Schedler, Jerry (Lori) Schedler, and Matthew (Lee) Schedler; mother-in-law Joan (Corpron) Regnitz; sisters-in-law Patti (Mike) Gilbertson, and Cathy (Kent) Hoffmann; brother-in-law Mark (Kim) Regnitz; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Pastor Herman and Lilly Schedler, Rudolph and Ada Punke; and his father-in-law Louis Regnitz. A service to celebrate Dan's life will be held at Alliance Bible Church in Mequon, Wisconsin on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at 3:45 pm, followed by a gathering for food and fellowship. Memorials can be given to Alliance Bible Church. Please put "Dan Schedler Memorial" on the memo line. All donations will be directed towards missions which expresses Dan's heart for God's people. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever inspire those who knew him. We praise God that he is perfectly healed and rejoicing with the angels, praising the One who is above all things.

For not one of us lives for himself, and not one dies for himself; for if we live, we live for the Lord, or if we die, we die for the Lord; therefore whether we live or die, we are the Lord's. For to this end Christ died and lived again, that He might be Lord both of the dead and of the living. Romans 14:7-9 (NASB)

Dan was such an inspiration too so many people while serving the Lord at ABC Mequon. I remember serving as an adult AWANA leader in the mid 1990's when two of his oldest daughters went thru the program. Now he is with the Lord in Heaven!

I remember the summer I spent with Dan in Montana working on a ranch...always the adventurer, Dan approached me one day in January and said "Gus, how about going to Montana and work on a ranch for the summer?" I don´t think my mom believed I was going until the day we left:). His adventurous spirit I will never forget and that it was for the Lord makes it everlasting!!!

Dan, may your adventures continue in your new life.....your friend, Gus

Mike Travis introduced you to me. I just moved from Los Angeles to WI to start my college life at UWSP. You were helpful, friendly and fun to be around with interesting stories to tell about the state of WI. You have a great younger brother, Matt who also was kind to me. Sorry for your loss, Matt. Please take care everyone.

I remember the Mr. Pickle duo, Dan and Mike T, singing and goofy dancing like 2 giant pickles! Great humor and a generous, kind heart toward Mike and me.
