Daniel Allen Segraves

Daniel Segraves, 38, passed away from complications of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy on Friday, May 23, 2025, after a brief hospital stay.

Daniel was born on December 8, 1986, in Fort Knox, KY, to Martin and Michelle Segraves. He travelled with his military family to Germany and multiple places in America before settling in Killeen, TX, where he attended school and graduated from Shoemaker High School in 2006.

Daniel will always be known for his sense of humor, witty comments, and his love for games. He loved all types of card and board games and especially enjoyed playing Dungeons and Dragons on Saturday nights with family and friends. He was an avid video gamer, and when he lost his ability to play, he watched numerous people play through online streaming.

Daniel is survived by his parents and his brother Elliot Segraves of Oklahoma City, OK, brother Christopher Segraves of Killeen, TX, sister Jessica Segraves (Mike Glazier) of Plano, TX, sister Elizabeth (Frank) Molina of El Paso, TX, sister Katelyn Taylor of Augusta, GA, and multiple nieces and nephews.

Daniel displayed a remarkable ability to make friends and has touched so many people over the course of his life, including schoolmates, medical professionals, caregivers, neighbors and family friends. Daniel's ready smile displayed how he truly cherished every interaction with all of you.

Daniel had a penchant for pushing the limits and wanted to live life to the fullest. As he lost his physical abilities, he would rely on others to interact with his environment. Rest assured that he is running free in paradise and is chasing squirrels as fast as he can in the sunshine.

A funeral service is not planned, but a celebration of life will be scheduled for a future date. In lieu of flowers or gifts, you may donate in his name to The Muscular Dystrophy Association or your favorite charity.
