Daniel SORENSEN Obituary
On Monday, January 21, 2013, Mr. Dan Sorensen of Spruce Grove, Alberta passed away at the age of 76 years.
He is survived by two sons Perry (Karen) and Darren (Tamara) and two grandchildren Brandi-Lynn and Clayton as well as his extended family. He was predeceased by his wife Patricia.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Muir Lake Community Hall. Memorials may be made to the Westview Health Centre, 4405 South Park Drive, Stony Plain, Alberta, T7Z 2M7.

Perry, Karen, Brandi, Clayton, Darren and Tammy our sympathies go out to all of you, we are great saddened to heard about the passing of Danny (Boon) your Dad and a great Grandfather to the kids, also our very dear friend. We shared many memories over the years, watching and encouraging all of Pat's dancers at competitions, the cars shows and races. Danny was an exceptional host no matter what the occasion, the barbecue's, the River Run's, if you ever attended his Viking - Scandinavian Breakfast's at the acreage, it's one you'd never forget. We are so very sorry that that we missed Dan's celebration of his life, we only found out today about Dan's passing as we are in Yuma Arizona.
Good bye dear friend you will be missed by all those you knew you.

Condolences on Dan's passing. We had many good times drag racing, bench racing and spending time with Captain Morgan. I've missed him ever since moving away, but always enjoyed time at Ray's Restaurant when I was in town for a visit. We may be in for more thunder now that he's up there.

Perry, Darren, Karen, and family: I am so sorry to hear about Dan's passing and am sad I cannot join you in remembrance this weekend as I am out of town. I have so many fond memories (some involving Akvavit) and want you to know how blessed I feel that your dad and mom (and you) always made me feel like part of the family. Take good care and let's treasure the memories.

Please accept our sincere condolences on the passing of your dad. My sisters use to take dance lessons with your mom, but it was always "cool" to tag along in case your dad had the dragster out on the front drive. Your mom and dad both touched many lives.

Dan was my good friend, jousting partner, mentor, neighbor, fellow hot-rodder, drag racer, and self- proclaimed Viking!
A talented machinist, welder, mechanic and businessman,Dan was a welcome guest at all social functions, accompanied by his loyal dog Cassie and good friend Captain Morgan.
I shall miss his dry wit, unique way with words, and our constant verbal jousting.
My condolences to his family,--- he shall be missed!
