Daniel R. Steuer WHEATFIELD, IN - Daniel R. Steuer of Wheatfield, Indiana passed away at home on Wednesday, December 12th, 2017. Dan is survived by his children: Jonathan (Michelle) Steuer of Cedar Lake, IN and Erica (Josh) Courtney of Huntley, IL; beloved grandchildren: Kameron, Connor and Karli Courtney, Max Miller, and Mariska Steuer. Also surviving are his sisters: Donna (Gary) Sorge of Lawrenceberg, IN and Dawn (Michael) Witte of Indianapolis, IN, former wife Kay Steuer, as well as many nieces, nephews and a whole network of wonderful cousins. Preceded in death by his parents Richard Steuer and Dolores Steuer-Wagner, and brother, David L. Steuer. He was born and raised in Crown Point at Hermits Lake where he and his siblings thrived - a place where all could go for good get togethers, athletics, and the great outdoors. Graduating from Crown Point HS, Dan also held degrees from Indiana and Purdue Universities. He spent many years as a PGA qualified Golf Pro running and teaching at several golf courses. His career also included over 25 years in the medical tech communities at Franciscan Hospitals. Dan enjoyed golf, loved the outdoors, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Private services were held by the family. If you wish to honor his memory, donations can be made in his memory to the charity of your choice.
