From Sun 330pm Nov 29th...
DAN
When I woke yesterday and heard the news, I shed some tears
BUT Then I started chuckling, remembering all the fun over the years.
ONLY DAN could get me smiling when so sad.
Dan has that way of fixing things that were bad.

My emotions he somehow recycled;
Turning as quick as the bike tires as he cycled.
In high school, I was fresh and he was senior;
He was sweet and nice when boys were always much meaner.

I happened upon his business, his services & products were the best we considered.
When I was a manager in charge of awards, he really delivered.

As I spent yesterday celebrating Thanksgiving with my family, we prayed
I shared news about Dan as THE BIG GAME was played.
While we visitted that team up north, A favorite joke I heard as fans repeated the wave.
O. H. I......
Dan had the best seat and was surely with Woody in that grand estate in the sky;
YOU KNOW THE ONE, cross street from the shack of good ole Bo.
SO EVEN now, Dan's contagious smile has me...
and I keep cheering O H I O!!!!!!

Dan fit more living into his 53 years than most people do in twice that time. He is the original energizer bunny and I will miss his smile, his laugh, his sense of humor, and his passion for everything he did. My prayers to his family for peace and comfort in knowing that his spirit lives on.

Oh Dan, Your snicker in this picture says it all. Soo busy with health and other issues to make the time to let you know how great of a father, husband, Catholic, and dear person you are! Also, I do not know a any buddy at Magdalene Elem. and Bishop Ready who could laugh so readily and heartily as you. That is one of the things we will all miss the most, but they are LUCKY to get you in heaven! Even though I have not been as much a part of you and your family's life as I wanted, I have always and will always have a special place in my heart for such an amazing man! Thanks for being a strong role model with an ornery sense of humor. I have have no doubt you are already enjoying Heaven and and especially, seeing the face of Christ up close. You're lucky!
Love, Monica

I also met Dan at recycling conferences. I appreciated that he was positive, enthusiastic, and gracious. He often spoke proudly of his family; he missed you while on the road at trade shows. I appreciated that he believed in sustainability and innovation. Dan was respected and will be remembered for his dedication and positive spirit by his colleagues in the recycling community. My sincere condolences to the Weisenbach family.

Dan and Katrina were friends that we wish we'd spent more time with. Met Dan when he won our viewer competition to become part of the NBC4 Goofy Game Team in 1989 and we have stayed in touch ever since. He was a good man. A funloving man an incredible father and man of God. His amazing children are a testament to His and Katrina's example. He will be missed but his memory and life legacy will continue until that Blessed reunion in the day to come. Cabot Rea

Dan and I met at a PROP conference in Gettysburg over 10 years ago and immediately we hit it off. We kept in touch over the years and I must admit I was part of the crew that kidnapped the penguin and took photos of him across Canada...yes, we returned him eventually to Dan who in his usual way laughed at the absurdity of it all. I will miss Dan, he was one of a kind. To his family, friends, colleagues and customers I sincerely offer my deepest condolences. He was one of a kind and will be missed.

I shared with Dan a love of cycling, a passion for the environment, a pride in family and a Catholic school upbringing (that must have contributed to at least a couple of the above). I cannot count the number of times he made me laugh nor the number of times I thanked him for going above and beyond the call of duty. It is clear from the things others have said that his spirit remains a part of everyone he knew.
