Its so wonderful to see the love people show remembering our DTM. I was visiting a friend last night around the block from his house and of course saw his smiling handsome face in my mind. I miss you much Dan. Wish you were here to make me laugh, although all the hysterical memories I have still often do...its not the same as being with you.
Love you Dan! Hope they had awesome fireworks in heaven.

Fireworks, food, Jacob's pool and of course, all the trouble you guys would get into (though, innocent trouble). Everyone wanted to be with you and Tony...how you enriched our hearts and our lives. Happy 4th of July, Dan!! I love you!!

It's almost fall. Dans birthday is coming up, football season starting, hockey seaon. I love this time of year, when the leaves change color, the air gets crisp, and people come togther to share a warm meal and maybe watch the game, with a nice fire burning in the fire place. The only thing missing is Dan. As we grow older, we get so caught up in our everyday lives. I think its then that our true-est friends really show up, and become family. Dan was a part of our family. We miss him more than words can say. My daughter Jacki, now gone off to experience her very first year of college, turned to me with tears in her eyes as we moved her into her dorm room. "oh sweetie, don't be nervous." I said and she answered "It's not that Mom. It's just that I know if Dan was alive, he'd be here lugging my stuff up these stairs with us, and I miss him Mom" That was who Dan was. My husband recently lost his job, and we were pretty nervous. I had a dream about Dan, and I told my husband about it. I said "Dan came to visit us last night in my dream!" and my husband started to cry and said "of course he did. I'm in trouble, and Dans always there for me when I'm in trouble." This is who Dan IS. He is still there for us. Still loving us all from a beautiful place, where he is whole and happy. I believe this with all of my heart. Dan the man...we love you. We miss you. And I for one want to thank you for being our Angel.

September 11th will NEVER be forgotten by the Tomaszewski family. Not only was our country attacked in 2001 on that date, but exactly one year later, we heard the devastating news about Dan's horrible accident! I guess God takes only the BEST, because that's what Dan was to SO MANY people....the BEST. We think of him (and his family) often, and miss him very much. His memory will live on with our family. His handsome smiling face, and his warm and genuine hugs and kisses....these are our precious memories of a very special man! Hey, and Tony, we'll always remember the Christmas night that you and Dan polished off that 100-lb. carrot cake from our Aunt Irene!!!! Love you guys! Joe and Bobbie Tomaszewski (Mr. & Mrs. Zuke)

I just wanted the family to know that so many of Dan's freinds are still keeping his spirit with them. His god dtr-Celine and I went to light a candle at church on the 11th and spent the day talking about him. I started my nursing rotation at Gurwin and think of Dan with every patient I have contact with. This week more than ever I wish Zuke and I could have made Paulie's wedding. Our love to all!

Hey Dan the Man!
I was just thinking about you so much today. I think it's because I made your favorite salad with dinner the other night, you know, the one with the fresh mozzerella and the pepperoni? So you've been on my mind ever since. Well, thats not really true, something or other brings you to mind just about every day! Not in a sad way, but in a happy way that usually makes me laugh! Youre still with us, still a part of our lives.
Love you Dan! Sending you hugs in heaven!

Danny, You are in my thoughts and prayers every day. I remember the day we met, you were with your buddies and your good friend introduced us. You were trying to be so cool, you were so cute and very funny. I told you "I had the perfect girl for you and that you would love her forever"... and that you did!...My sister,... Christine. The two of you hit it off immediately! When I moved away to Florida you took care of Christine and her children and loved them as if they were your own, and for that I thank you. You came along at the time of the passing of our Mother. You helped heal our broken hearts with your sweet words and your comedy acts, turning our tears into laughter. I'll always remember the silly things you did to entertain us. When I would come home to visit I asked you "So Dan The Man, did ya miss me?" Your reply as always..."With a bullet!!"..."Now, cut my hair!!" Your famous name for me was "Crowbar". You gave me that name because I always asked "So how are you and my sister doing? "Hey, what are you a damn crowbar?" So my name was no longer "Donna", it was "Crowbar"! I will forever miss your sweet face and funny ways Danny. I am blessed to have known you, you have touched my life in so many ways!! Keep 'em laughing up there! I Love You. Love, Donna Lucenti -Esposito

For almost four years we have tried to understand the whys, to make sense of this horrific tragedy. This weekend anger at fate turned to gratitude. Everywhere we turned there were people who were thankful for having known you, Dan the Man. You had an enormous abilty to give friendship so freely. So many people with so many stories with so many smiles of shared memories. You did everything to the fullest- whether it was filling up on your holiday rounds like you never tasted anything so good, to standing by family and friends while lending a helping hand or a needed hug. Everyone had the same thing to say-you could always be counted on to do the right thing- you had the back of those you loved. Your mother raised an amazing man who bought so much joy to so many people. You had such love and pride for your family ( especially your nieces and nephews) that so many other families chose you to be a part of theirs. Dan you are loved and will always be with us.

I cant begin to put into words how much we will miss you, your smiling face, and the way you made us all laugh. You were more than just a good friend, you were a part of our family. There are so many memories that keep you alive in our hearts. All the laughs, and the many times you just showed up and pitched in when we were in need. When Gary had his accident, it was you who took care of me, while I took care of him, and I will never forget your kindness and support. You are a truly beautiful human being, with a heart of gold. Thank you Danny, for blessing us with your friendship. Every year we set an extra place at our christmas table for you, and it will be a tradition in our home from this day on, in your memory.
To the Yezzo family, my heartfelt sympathy, and lots of love. Youre an amazing family, and I admire your strength and the love you share. Its easy to see why Danny was as loving as he was when I see the love between all of you.

John’s Poem
6/23/06
You were the father I never had.
When we spent time together,
I loved you like a Dad.
The years went by, as I got older
With your help I grew stronger.
The times we had I’ll always remember. Like the time when you looked in the garbage and ate the chicken tender.
You took me to the movies and played whiffle ball,
You were always there when I would fall.
In my mind or on my knees,
If I fell you would never leave.
Don’t you remember watching the planes?
Don’t you remember when they flew over our heads?
As I remember, it dawns on me that you are gone but forever freinds we will remain.
I’ll start to weep, I’ll start to cry.
But in my heart you’ll never die.
In time I know its better
So when someone reads this stupid letter, They will know how I feel
And realize my love for you is real.
As you lie in the dirt, Always remember my heart is hurt
Just know you’ll always be missed
And never forgotten
Dan the man, rest in peace on all the cotton.

Dan The Man
You have been and always will be in my thoughts and prayers. You were the best friend a guy could ever have, always there when I needed an extra hand moving, painting, or "RAKING ROCKS". I will never watch a Foootball, or Hockey Game again or listen to KISS, without thinking of the times we spent together. You were a shoulder to cry on when I needed, and a buddy to laugh with when sometimes I never knew I needed that. You were a friend to my wife, and an Uncle to my children. You never missed a Christmas even though you lived out of state.
You put up a good fight, then again I would expect nothing less of you, I am glad you are finally at peace.
I love you Dan The Man!!!
