In Loving Memory

Danielle "Danie" Dorette Belfield-Vigh, born on December 24, 1974, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2024, in Edmonds, Washington, at the age of 49. She is survived by her beloved wife, Melanie Belfield-Vigh, her mother, Pamela Kulfan-Smith, Step father Jeff Smith, Step Mother Beverly Belfield, six siblings Brian, Amanda, Vince, Lindsey, Megan, and James, six In-laws, Leilani, Dane, Lisa, Jenny, Charlene, and Mike, eight cherished nieces and nephews, and several cousins, and many more.

Danie graduated from Whitefish Bay High School in 1992 and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Wisconsin Lutheran College in 1996. Her life was marked by a profound dedication to community service, particularly in supporting the elderly. She began that part of her career with Meals on Wheels of San Francisco, serving as the Director of Volunteers, where she ensured that isolated, homebound seniors received nutritious meals and companionship.

Most recently, Danie was the Director of Community Operations and Outreach for Northwest Neighbors Network in Washington State. Her tireless work helped seniors age gracefully in their own homes, leaving a lasting impact on the communities she served.

Danie's adventurous spirit took her from her Wisconsin roots to San Francisco in her twenties, and later to Washington State three years ago. She explored many places, always accompanied by her love for the outdoors. She found joy in hiking and camping, often with her loyal dog, Frida, by her side. In recent years, she discovered a passion for rockhounding, collecting beautiful stones from her and her wife travels.

Danie also loved reading, studying the origins of words, and seeking answers to life's questions. She dreamed of writing her own book one day. Her laughter could light up a room, and her enthusiasm was infectious. Her generous heart touched everyone she met, leaving an indelible mark on their lives. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

I remember the Joy Danie shared as she circulated at a luncheon event I attended. I also thought she was very pretty. She was also the cheerful voice on the phone as I made requests for services. She will be missed. Betty Quatier

I can remember Danie as a beautiful, bright little girl. Pam and I were friends from High School and I would come to their home and we would let our children play together while we visited. I am truly heartbroken to hear that Danie has passed. She is going to be greatly missed.
