Danielle Snyder Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 15, 2022.
Danielle Jane Snyder (nee Evans), passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 15, 2022. She was 78 years old. Danielle was born in Johnstown, PA to Irene, and the late, Daniel Evans. From a young age, she exhibited all the characteristics of strength, determination, and love for her family. Born during the World War II era, Danielle and her mother traveled throughout Pennsylvania to live with relatives at times while her father courageously served his Country overseas. Upon his return, they relocated to Philadelphia for a brief time before settling in Feasterville. The oldest of 5, Danielle was instrumental in raising her siblings and they looked to her as a source of guidance and wisdom. A graduate of Neshaminy High School, Class of 1961, she went on to pursue her Bachelor's degree from Penn State University, returned to Bucks County and began a career in administration for Bell Telephone. With a thirst for knowledge and drive for success, she went on to ultimately receive her Master's Degree from Temple University. When not working, Danielle loved to take the opportunity to show off her creative side. She had a beautiful talent for quilting. Family and friends to this day hold dear many of creations either displayed in their homes or on a cold evening, wrapped around their arms like one of her true hugs. She enjoyed spending time at the Jersey shore for relaxation and church for spiritual nourishment. Danielle was a dedicated and prominent member of many Bucks County philanthropic organizations, most notably The Grundy Foundation. She was a strong advocate for literacy, especially when it came to our youth, and was demonstrated by her commitment to education as a substitute teacher in Ocean City, NJ. But above all, Danielle will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and niece. Danielle is survived by her husband of 44 years, Leonard N. Snyder. She was the loving stepmother to Keith Snyder (Michelle), Craig Snyder (Rebecca), and Kimberly Snyder-Petrondi(Tom), and survived by 8 grandchildren. She was the beloved daughter to Irene Evans, and loving sister to Daniel (Eileen), David, and Douglas Evans (Jane). She was predeceased by her sister, Denise Evans Zoeller. She will be forever missed by many nieces and nephews, Stephen, Chris, and Ashley Zoeller; David and Jon Evans; Katherine Dempsey and Daniel Evans. She will also be missed by her Aunt Judy Young (Terry). Friends and family are invited to greet the family at the Dunn-Givnish Funeral Home, 378 South Bellevue Avenue, Langhorne, PA, 19047 on Monday, February 21, 2022, from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Danielle was a wonderful, loving woman. She will be greatly missed . I enjoyed my many talks with her when she came to Harriman UMC for quilting.
