Danika Collins Obituary
Danika was born June 16, 1995, in Seymour, the daughter of Katrina Suzanne Hirtzel and Craig Dewey Collins.
She was a junior at Jackson County Learning Center in Seymour and hoped to graduate this year.
Danika was a fun-loving little girl who loved to listen to music and dance. She really enjoyed communicating with her friends and could text with the best of them.
She will be greatly missed by her mother; father; stepmother, Tina; sisters, Hali Anderson, Kala McCord, Samantha Shell, Jessica Riley and Pamela Neawedde; brother, Benjamin Shell; maternal grandfather, Morris Joseph Hirtzel; paternal grandfather, Robert Collins; several aunts and uncles; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Beverly Deckard, and paternal grandmother, Lilly Collins.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Voss Chapel in Seymour with the Rev. James Rodriguez officiating.
Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and after 9 a.m. until time of service Thursday.
Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery with a Voss dove release.
Memorials may be made to the Peace Corps.
