Danny Haggard Obituary
ANDERSON — Danny Freeman Haggard, 48, of Anderson, died Dec. 1, 2009, at Community Hospital Anderson, as the result of a sudden illness.
He was born Sept. 6, 1961, in Anderson, where he lived his entire life.
For 22 years, Danny owned/operated a trucking business and Meadowbrook Barbershop.
He was a member of East Side Church of God. He enjoyed working with Man 4 Man Ministries and doing volunteer work. Danny loved writing and playing music, riding motorcycles and was an avid hunter. He was currently pursuing a degree in nursing.
Survivors include his wife of five years, Elizabeth (Burcham) Haggard, whom he married in Anderson in September of 2004; his mother, Sharon K. (Wools) Wells and husband, J.R.; two sons, Sylias Haggard and Joshua Haggard, both of Anderson; a brother, Gregory J. Haggard of Anderson; three sisters, Vicki Addison of Ligonier, Ind., Annette Marsh of Missouri and Christina (Shane) Barclay of Flippin, Ark.; two aunts, Carol Wools and Katherine (Jack) Stevenson; four nephews, Matthew D. Wools, Nathan G. Addison, Sterling Barclay and Vince Johnson; three great-nieces, two great-nephews; and a great-great-niece.
Danny was preceded in death by his father, Gerald D. Haggard.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Central Community Chapel, 1004 Indiana Ave., Anderson, officiated by the Rev. J.R. Wells (Telephone 617- 4280).
Cremation was chosen.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service, 229 S. Rangeline Road, Anderson.
Memorial contributions may be made to Man4Man Ministries.

The Haggard Family,
I remember hanging out with Danny in his barber shop back when I was about 15yrs old. I knew Danny as a very onnery man. Recently Greg (Guitar),Danny (harmonica) and Beth visited my home to play music. I will remember Danny as a tatooed,cantankerous ,harmonica playing man that loved his family and friends. I'm glad that I was able to spend that time with Danny. He touched many lives and his memory will live on. Our prayers and thoughts are with you all in these changing times .
