Coach Kent was probably one of the most influential men in my teenage life. He always believed in me and pushed me a little harder. I think about him often and all the stories he would tell me on long basketball trips.
He would always walk the parking lot before a game looking for a penny head side up. I'm sorry for the Kent families loss.

As it has been said many times already and it is absolutely true; Coach Kent was a man of the highest integrity, honor, and moral convictions. Though I had not seen or talked to him in about thirty years, I often thought of him and how he positively inspired and influenced me, as I am sure he has done the same to countless others who knew him. He will be greatly missed. My deepest sympathy to his family.

Coach Kent was the most honorable of men. He was a Chrisitan and not one of us doubted it. He was easy-going, full of integrity, and absolutely sharp as a tack! My heart absolutely breaks to think of him being gone...even if I haven't seen him in 20+ years. Rest in peace coach, and may your reunion with your brother Kelly be the most joyful of noises!

Coach Kent believed in me when I was struggling and didn't believe in myself. I re-arranged my class schedule each year to have him in History class, and I majored in History because of the confidence and inspiration he provided. In all the years since he taught at EHS, I have thought about him and his family, so grateful to have had the opportunity to learn from him. Many things about my teaching philosophy originated from the grace I learned in Coach Kent's class

Danny exemplified a Christian demeanor and attitude even from a young age. I had the privilege of growing up around Danny and his brothers as a young girl through church and as they worked for my father during the summer months during cheerleading and various camps. I was always the little sister type that was tagging along that they had to look after. He always treated me kindly and I grew to love him and his family. We know we will reunite one day and I pray for peace and comfort for Nita, his girls, Craig and family. God bless you all.
