Memories * By Request Danny Clay Williams was given his first note when he was born on February 23, 1956 to Herman Williams Sr. and Betty Lourene Lewis –Williams in Guthrie, Oklahoma. As the Second Son , he looked up to his elder brother Herm Jr and join him in adolescence games and later Catholic school education. After the birth of another child, his sister Iris, the Williams family moved to Los Angeles ,California in early 1958 where piano playing and singing was a constant sound in the household. While living in Los Angeles two more brothers were born( John and Steve) bringing the Williams family total to seven plus Great Grandfather Robert Sears Sr. This set in motion yet another move this time to Compton, California in 1965. Now the Music heard in the household began to interest Danny and his mother began training Danny in Music and Voice. Danny played several different instruments until 1970 when a friend (Christy Smith-BASS player) suggested that he play Bass violin. * Danny "The Bass Man" was born. Danny played in several bands and orchestra before studying music at Compton College and Dick Grove Music School. Danny began playing professionally in 1974...Cornerstone( Steve and Albert and the Guys and Gals) during which time he got a chance to help engineer on a neighbour album. He had been active in the Los Angeles performance & recording music scene for over 30+ yrs working with such Artist as Little Richard, Marvin Gaye, George Clinton, Parliament Funkadelic, Bumps Blackwell, Gordon Banks, Ike Turner, Sly Stone , Morteza Barjesteh, and Gene Dozier,Other engineering/musician credits for records, films, television & commercials, include TVN network satelite report, Glady?s Night, the Main Ingreident, MC Brains, Brown Pride, Lighter shade of Brown, Total Devastation, Beau Williams, David Peaston, , Frankie Gaye, Dr. Dale Warren, Valerie Pinkston-Mayo, Phineas Newborn, David McMurray, Vernon D. Recorders which is where he was born as a Recording engineer and where Tony Houston, DAT Taylor and Danny worked together to help the Producer, Songwriter, Programmer, Guitarist and Marvin's MD, Gordon Banks cut Sexual Healing and 15 other tracks that went on the next 2 Marvin Gaye Album's. Danny work as Staff session musician, assistant engineer, producer & song writer for Metronome Studio and Paramount Studio in Los Angeles and the last Studio Sierra Sonics Sound Studio in Reno, Nevada. Danny met and Married Julieta Borlaza in 2008. Danny was a very active member of AA since 1988 and was an awesome volunteer in Reno and Los Angeles. * Danny had received many Music Awards including: 6 Gold record , two Platinum, 1Double Platinum, 1Triple Platinum and 1 Quadruple Platinum records. RIAA approved records. * Danny was a member local 47 Musician Union( NARAS) and , SMPTE, BMI and a Voting Member of the Grammys. * Danny ascended to his final Gig on June 10, 2012 in Los Angeles, California at 9:30pm (The Angels needed a great Bass Musician) * Danny Clay Williams was preceded in death by His Parents Herman Williams Sr. And his Mother Betty Lourene Williams. Danny Clay Williams leaves a Julieta Borlaza, wife, Herm Jr.(Brother), John Joseph(Brother) ,Steve Arnold(Brother), Thomas McClainIV(Brother–inlaw),Iris Williams-McClain(Sister),Susan Williams(sister-inlaw), Carina Camenzind (neice) ,Makayla Williams(neice), Imogene Williams(neice), Harrison John Williams (Nephew) ,Steve K. Williams(nephew), Rhys Williams(Nephew), Kendal Williams( nephew),Harrison Jaron Williams( Great-Nephew), Garland Joan Carter(Aunt), Melvin A . Carter(Uncle),Juanita Williams(Aunt) and a host of relatives and friends to lift him up to the Lord.
