John Mobley Obituary

Susanville resident John Raymond Mobley peacefully passed form this life Friday evening, August 2, 2013 at Seneca Health Care District's Hospital ant the age of 90. Born June 3, 1923 in Jones Prairie, Texas to the late Texas natives John and Tinnie (Warren) Mobley he and his family relocated to the central valley of California in 1942 where John began what became a 43 year career as a machinist working in the agriculture processing industry. In 1948 he moved north to Corning, CA where he took employment in the olive processing plant located there. Following an earlier divorce and while remodeling his home in Corning John was introduced to a pretty young lady who was helping repair the fence. He later married Jannia who not only became his wife but also his best friend in Red Bluff, CA on January 19, 1982. John's work was his passion. He enjoyed repairing his automobiles and it's said as a master welder he could weld just about anything. In passing John leaves his loving wife and best friend of 31 years, Jannia Mobley of Susanville, son; Leonard Mack Mobley of Roswell, New Mexico, daughters; Leeanalee Melton and her husband Willis of Susanville, Bonnie Mobley of Fresno, CA, along with his three beautiful grandchildren; Raymond Butler, Willis Melton III and Cynthia Melton. Along with his parents John joins his four sisters and three brothers in their eternal home. Private family services have been held. Cremation took place locally at Fehrman Crematory.
