AUNT DONNA, UNCLE DON, MARK, KIM, JODY, CASEY AND FAMILIES
I can still see Darcy laughing having fun when we were growing up. You all would come to visit and she would take over like a mother hen looking out for us all when we all played together. I will never forget Darcy and her wonderful smile and outgoing personality she is truly missed.

TO THE ELDER FAMILY
We were friends of Darcy and Rick I know that the 1year anniversary is coming up. I miss Darcy very much she was so good with my kids they considered her there auntie. She always took them out to the store and spoiled them. I wish she was still here but her memory will never go away she is in a happy place now and watching all of us.

Wow , I can just now start to come to grips with what has happened, An Angel has left us and is now helping many more as she waits to greet us all! Darcy truly put EVERYONE before herself and brought many smiles to many faces. In knowing what Darcy was going thru day in and day out, it only makes it that much more remarkable the person that she was for everybody in her life! In working with her for 6 years, I don`t honestly believe that one day passed that i didn`t see a smile on her face. I know she is smiling down on us all, watching over all of us! Darcy when my days are tough I think of you, and it makes me realize that the days are only as bad as we ourselves make them! Please Darcy have a drink for me and know we will meet one day again! Your Friend Forever!

Darcy is lovingly remembered by myself and my sisters. We were in our youth when we met in Westview, and became friends very easily. Darcy was just that way. She is at peace. Our prayers go out to the family at this time of grief and sorrow. God be with you and may He be your Rock that you may cling to. Wanda Pollock, (nee Friesen) and Sarah Friesen and sisters...

Don, Donna & Family
I wish to express my sincere condolences at your tragic loss. The news of Darcy's death was a terrible shock and for certain these are, without a doubt -- dark, sad days for you.
While reading through the legacy.com section of the Calgary Herald, it certainly isn't hard to see that Darcy had a very positive impact on many lives.
As sister-in-law to my son, I got to know Darcy quite well. I thought of Darcy as a very compassionate person with a gift for understanding the needs of others. I feel that many lives have been enriched as a result of crossing paths with her.
Please be assured that I care and share in your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Sincerely
Margaret Doherty-Crowley

Our deepest sympathies go to Darcy's family and friends. We met Darcy through IBEW 348, and quickly grew to love and respect her. She had a wonderful smile and a great laugh, and seeing or talking to her on a bad day always made you feel better. Darcy was a "mother hen", and always put others needs ahead of her own.
We love you Darce, and know there is a special angel watching over your family.

Darcy was always compelled to look after everybody else and least likely to look after herself. I will always remember her optimism, curiosity, the fun we had working in the office of IBEW 348 and the fun outside the office like the infamous Misfits baseball team, and her great empathy for others.
I will miss this good soul.

I met Darcy 3 years ago when she not only welcomed me into her home with open arms but also into her heart she was always there for me when i needed someone to talk to. She was the most loving and caring person i have ever met. She always cared about others and no problem was too small for her to take the time to listen. She will be missed greatly.

Darcy was one of the most compassionate, caring, non-judgemental people I have known. I will never forget her kind spirit. She will always be remembered for how she lived by the many, many people she loved and who loved her back.
She was like a big sister to me while Kim and I were growing up and I remember many good times hanging out at the Elder home in Saskatoon. Then, many more as adults in Calgary. She has left a mark on this world even though she left us much too soon.

Words cannot express how sorry I am for such a tremendous loss. Darcy was my sister-in-law. Although I only met her a few times I knew she was a very loving and caring person. She took Jory into her life as her own and that was one of the greatest things a person could ever do for a lost child. Now with her gone she will look done on Jory and continue to guide him through life. This was such a tragedy for someone's life to be taken. I hope that you will find comfort in knowing that she is not suffering and has become a guiding light and will always shine down upon us. Again I am so sorry for your loss

Kim, Kevin, and family. What words are adequate at a time like this? We are so sorry for your loss of such a wonderful sister, especially in such a tragic and senseless way. Our deepest sympathy goes out to you and your family; you are on our hearts, and in our prayers. I cannot begin to imagine how much Darcy will be missed by you and so many. I didn't know her well, but what stands out in my memory about Darcy is how kind, generous, caring and accepting of everyone she was. She always seemed to be looking after someone else, and putting someone elses needs before her own. We need more people like her in this world.

To the Elder Family: My heart goes out to all the family. I hope the large void felt now, can be filled with Darcy's much larger memory and spirit. She has left a footprint on all our hearts, and I think of her every time I read my books at night. I think of her kindness, her way of making you feel welcome, and her passion for her family, her teams, and her love of people as a whole...words cannot express accurately how she will be missed by all of us.

I did not know Darcy. I did not know what she did for a living. I do not know her family or what she did for hobbies.
I do know that her passing should not have happened. The story of her passing is the same as our family just went through in November.
I do know the frustrations and pain the family is feeling right now, and I want to extend my heartfelt sympathy to each of you. Hold Darcy close to your heart and remember her for the good person she was. Her legacy is in each of those who she touched and by telling her story, her legacy will help others.
Darcy was clearly loved by many people as represented in this Guest Book and more importantly by her family. Honor her memory by reaching out to others in need.
I did not know Darcy, but she is now in my constant thoughts and prayers.

I want to send my deepest condolences to the Elder family. What a tremendous loss. Years ago I worked with Darcy at 254 and I will never forget how she befriended me. She used to take me home with her at lunch in her old Dodge Dart, where she always had homemade baking and dozens of uses for noxema. Although I have not seen Darcy in quite some time, I honestly believe that the world is now a lesser place without one of the kindest individuals I have ever had the pleasure of knowing.

I worked with Darcy from 1991 to 2000. She was always so full of energy, laughter, and fun. She loved life and lived it to the fullest. She loved her family and spoke of them often so that we felt we knew them. She bought her plane tickets to Saskatoon well in advance to make sure she'd be there for family holidays. I will always remember how warm and caring she was and the 'group hugs' she gave us girls if we were feeling down for any reason. Darce, you'll always be remembered R.I.P.

Darcy was my cousin, though I hadn't seen her in along time doesn't take away the fact that she was family.
