Darin is survived by wife Amy, son Colton, parents; Larry Sawyer and Joann Carter, grandmother Maxine Adkins, in-laws; Sandra Gunder, Larry and Renee Erwin, siblings; Wendie, Brett, Wendi (Kent), Michael (Pam), Destin (Michelle), Jimmy (Laura), Kacy, Tomi Jo (Chris), Amanda (Tim), Josh and Abbie. Many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Darin had a lifelong friendship with Joe White. Joe, his wife, parents and children were all a very important part of Darin's life. He is preceded in death by grandparents; Bill and Beullah Sawyer, Gene Adkins, step mother Robin Sawyer, brother in law John Smith.
Darin's illness had him at home the last 6 months. Darin was able to spend quality time with Amy and Colton. During this time the three of them built beautiful everlasting memories. Darin and Colton were able to build a bond that will never be forgotten.
Darin enjoyed spending time golfing, fishing, hunting and watching car races of all kinds. Many Saturday nights he could be found out at The Bakersfield Speedway.
Darin's 1st job was working for Gregory Tile. He spent a few years at Aleco. Darin spent most of his working years at Bolles Nursery. Special thanks to the Bolles family for allowing Darin to be a part of their family business for many years.
Viewing will be held on Sunday January 4th, from 4:00 to 8:00pm with services on Monday, January 5th at 10:00am both at Greenlawn Funeral Home Southwest.
