Darlene Neuweiler Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 28, 2025.
Darlene Neuweiler UPPER Darlene Joan Neuweiler, 87, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2025, in League City, Texas.

Born on August 27, 1937, in Asbury Park, New Jersey, Darlene was the daughter of Dorothy and Brooks Teeple. She was raised with a strong Lutheran faith that remained central throughout her life. A member of St. John's Lutheran Church, she instilled these values in her children and actively participated in church activities over the years.

Darlene married Donald Neuweiler, with whom she shared a caring marriage for 67 years until his passing. Together they raised four children-Donald, Brenda, Mark, and Norman.

A woman of many talents and passions, Darlene found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was an exceptional cook who delighted in preparing meals for family and friends. Her kitchen was often filled with the comforting smell of home-cooked dishes made from scratch.

Family was important to Darlene. She was a proud grandmother to Nicholas, Jack, Zach, and Keris Neuweiler. Her memory lives on through them and through the values she passed down to each generation.

May Darlene's memory be a source of comfort to all who knew her. Her warmth, faith, and devotion will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by those whose lives she touched.

A Celebration of Darlene's life will be held June 7 at Thelma Webber Community Center (14304 Beriton St, Santa Fe) from 1-4. Please come by and enjoy the memory of both Darlene and Donald with family and friends.

In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to HIS Ministries. A charitable organization that Darlene considered close to her heart and her second home.

Darlene and my Mom (Betty Miller) were best friends for years. Here's a picture of the both of them at Mom's 80th birthday party at the Galveston Railroad Museum.
