Funeral services for Darrell Fane Charlton are scheduled for Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Colonial Mortuary Chapel. Interment will follow in the New Prospect Cemetery in Pollok. Visitation will be on Friday in the Colonial Mortuary Chapel from 6 to 8 p.m. Darrell was born to Birdie (Preston) Charlton, and the late Lee Edward Charlton on July 13, 1948 in Lufkin. He was a graduate of Dunbar High School, Class of 1966. Darrell retired from Texas Foundry (Citation) after more than forty years of employment. On October 28, 2014, Darrell departed this life in Lufkin. Survivors: His wife of forty two years, Doris Charlton of Lufkin; mother, Birdie (Preston) Charlton of Lufkin; son, Desmond (Carolyn) Charlton of Lufkin; daughter, Dionne (Khris) Dennis of Tyler; brothers, Kenneth (Althea) Charlton of Houston and Ronnie Charlton of Lufkin; four grandchildren. Darrell was preceded in death by his father, Lee Edward Charlton and sister, Patricia (Charlton) Smith. Colonial Mortuary, directors.
