Atlanta - Darrell Wayne Crutchley, aged 70, of Atlanta, IL, passed away on April 11, 2025 at his home surrounded by loved ones. Born on February 4, 1955, Darrell was known for his love of motorcycles and welcomed friends over for a beer in his garage.

Darrell proudly served in the US Air Force. After his military service, he established a successful career as a self-employed home improvement contractor, a vocation he dedicated himself to for 35 years. Darrell valued the simple pleasures of life, his family, and friendships. He is survived by his wife, Janet Crutchley; daughters, Dawn (Garret) Wintz of Cumberland Furnace, TN, and Leah (Dana LaFlamme) Thompson of Rush, CO; a niece he considered a daughter, Jessica Walters of Minier, IL; grandchildren, Daelyn (Nick) Hortenstine, Brady Wintz, Raven Thompson, and Gage Thompson; and great-granddaughters, Lillian and Oaklynn. Darrell was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and June Crutchley, a sister, a brother, and his father-in-law and best friend, Ferd Decker.

Per Darrell's wishes, there will be no memorial service. Contributions in his memory can be made to the Atlanta Rescue Squad or St. Jude’s.
