We thank God that He let us know you. You were more than a friend. As much a family member as anyone. We love you, and you will be greatly missed. Thanks for giving us the privilage to be a part of your life.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Darrell was a gentlemen and I'm glad to have known him.

Dear Darrell, You have been a great friend for many years to I and many others. When ever we got together there was never a dull moment. God blessed us with your loving kindness and humor. You and Mary have left behind a wonderful son to carry on! We will miss you till we meet again on the other side, thanks again for all you have done!!

What a gentle gentle man he was. Through all the years that he touched our lives at the VA hospital pharmacy he shared with us his passionate convictions but always with a genuine interest in helping others. We heard stories about when he called on hardware stores in southeast Kansas and many of the changes that shaped his life. We will remember him fondly.

Just wanted to let you know again that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Your father was always a ray of sunshine for me and many others and he will be missed greatly. I was blessed to know such a great man. He will always be a piece of me and for that I am greatful.

Darrell will be deeply missed, not just for his dedication to Veterans but his dedication to all of us here. Darrell served 9 years at the Dole VA Center with 2,112 volunteer hours. Darrell has brought joy to all of us. Darrell will truly be missed.
