What a gentle gentle man he was. Through all the years that he touched our lives at the VA hospital pharmacy he shared with us his passionate convictions but always with a genuine interest in helping others. We heard stories about when he called on hardware stores in southeast Kansas and many of the changes that shaped his life. We will remember him fondly.

Dear Mike & Marcela,
Just wanted to let you know again that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Your father was always a ray of sunshine for me and many others and he will be missed greatly. I was blessed to know such a great man. He will always be a piece of me and for that I am greatful.

I would see Darrell at some of the Gale family get-togethers. He was always upbeat and interesting to talk to, a very kind person. I am sorry for your loss. We will miss him. Nancy G.

My deepest sympathy to the family of Darrell. I'm a nearby neighbor and always enjoyed talking to Darrell when I saw him out and about in the neighborhood. He was always interested and concerned about people and how they were doing. He is very much missed around here. Elinor Pyle
