Karl Hering, 87, of Cresthill, Illinois and Scottsdale, Arizona, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 20th, 2018, at Scottsdale Osborne Hospital in Arizona, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born August 19th, 1930 in Germany. He lived most of his life in Cresthill, Illinois and worked at Caterpillar where he retired from. Karl served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by four daughters, Yvonne Tafoya, Michelle (Mark) Pasiecznik, Paula Kirman, Irene (Randy) Schoof; and six grandchildren, Robbie, Brandy, Nathan, Raymond, Kara, and Ryan.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Ella (Lebert); second wife, Elaine (Miller); three sisters, Lisa, Enna, and Mia; and daughter, Karen Kirman.
Karl had a passion for gardening, working with cars, house projects and loved just reminiscing listening to his German music. He was a loving father and grandfather and will be missed by all.
A memorial service and celebration of his life will be held Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Warehouse Church, 308 E. Galena Blvd., Aurora, Illinois 60505. 630-859-0600. Pastor Randy Schoof will officiate.
