Dear Lisa, Miriam, Abigail & Jeremy:
We we're so sorry to hear of the passing of Darwin last week! We are very saddened by the loss of such a special person and brother in Christ. We appreciate that the loss we feel is so much greater in your household as you have lost a husband and father. Our hearts go out to you - Lisa, Miriam, Jeremy & Abigail as well as his parents, Darrell and Isabel. We will pray for you all during this difficult time.
Lisa, we have read your blog on www.darwindewar.com and now know some of the background. We feel comforted knowing that your church family, both near and far, have been a constant support since September. Thank you for demonstrating faith and strength, while leaning on Him.
It is so appropriate that since Darwin touched so many lives, that just as so many of us were gathered to the Lord through his ministry when he was alive, so many of us gathered in his absence to honour him in Edmonton at the funeral, now that he has gone onto the Lord.
God bless your family!
Lovingly,
The Matte Family in Calgary

I can not fully express the deep sense of loss I feel is as a member of Church 99. Pastor Darwin Dewar made me proud to be a Christian. He had passion for humanity, and was passionate about service to others. He was genuinely committed to redeeming souls and making the world a better place for everyone. I will miss him for his life changing and uplifting messages from the pulpit, and his positive attitude. I will miss him for his passion for others, and also for being a good brother in Christ. We love him but obviously, God loves him more than us. We can’t God why?, but all we can say is thank you God for the opportunity of knowing a special son of yours, and for the positive impact he had in our lives. May his soul continue to rest with the Lord.
May God be with his loving family. I pray that God will bless them with fortitude to bear the loss, and enrich them with wisdom, understanding, and comfort that is beyond human comprehension. Thank you for sharing him with us while he was here. His memory will be in our hearts forever.
