Daryl Edwin Williams 54, departed this life on Monday, April 17, 2023. Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, May 6, 2023, at 1 p.m. at Lyons Chapel Baptist Church. Private Disposition under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Daryl was born in Lubbock to Mannie and Laura Williams on January 4, 1969. Daryl grew up in Lubbock where he attended LISD and graduated from South Plains College. Daryl enjoyed Country music, excelled at Computer Technology, and was a proficient photographer. Daryl is preceded in death by his Grandparents: Lillian & Naomi Johnson, Mannie, Sr & Odell Williams, Ada "Big mama" Morris, multiple aunts, uncles, other family & friends. Those left to cherish his memory are: parents: Laura Johnson, Mannie (Gladys) Williams of Lubbock, Texas; brothers: Morris Williams (Stacy) of Austin, Texas; Tsepo Williams (Freshanna) of Forney, Texas; Jerald Johnson of Lubbock, Texas; sisters: LaSheria James (Joseph) of Irving, Texas; Melanie Johnson of Lubbock, Texas; special aunt: Kat Haskin of Lubbock, Texas; special cousin: Robbie Haskin also of Lubbock, Texas; multiple aunts, uncles, other family, and friends.

I rember when I was working at Market Street (50th) and this tall handsome young man walks in with a cowboy hat and boots and flashed the most beautiful smile and gave me a big hug! My nephew! I will always remember you and love you Daryl!
