David Abraham Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 13, 2015.
I'm Free

Don't grieve for me for now I'm free. I'm following the path God has laid you see. I took His hand when I heard His call. I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day to laugh, to love, to work, or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way. I found peace at the close of day. If my parting has left a void then fill it with remembered joys. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss. O yes, these things too, I will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow. I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life's been full I savored much, good friends, good times, a loved one's touch. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief. Don't lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your hearts and peace to thee . . God wanted me now. He set me free.

While we weep tears of sadness mourning his loss, others who have gone before are shedding tears of joy at meeting him once again.

David Abraham was the best grandpa anyone could ask for. He taught me so much about cars, football and life. I was talking to him last week about when was a pop warner football coach for my Uncle Eddie's team. He said it was one of the best things he had ever done in his life. He loved mentoring those kids just like he did his own children and grandchildren. He always let me and my cousin Cory help him work on his cars so we could learn from the best! Everything he worked on was completed to absolute perfection down to every last nut and bolt! I hope I am able to carry on my grandpa's legacy and be as great of a man as he was. I love you so much grandpa may you rest in peace.
Love,
Steven
P.S. I won't ever take any wooden nickels!

Dear Sara and Family, you all have been in our thoughts and prayers at this time during the loss of your loved one. We know he is not actually lost, we know where he is and that he was greeted with open arms by so many loved ones who passed on before him. (Genesis 28:12) Dave will be sorely missed here on earth but never forgotten as he is now in Heaven. Love, Aunt Betty Ann and Uncle Ron

Dave was such a nice man. He helped my dad and I when we began a project to customize a very tired and broken down 57 Chevy pickup. We could not have done it without Dave's help. The Abraham's were the best neighbors anyone could hope for. Just great down to earth people.

My Dad

I know this man
Who is dear to my heart
Suddenly one day
It was torn all apart

This man taught me everything
That I needed to know
But I never really listened
Until he had to go

He gave me love
And touched my life
It's all over now
He no longer has to fight

He tried to teach me
Right for wrong
The day he left
I wasn't that strong

He is gone now
It is hard to believe
This man is my dad
Who I will never see

But I will see him again
This I know
The day will come
When it's time for me to go

So, I'll hold him dear
And close to my heart
Cause the day we meet
I know we'll never be torn apart.

Love you today, tomorrow and always,
Your Monker
