Sad news and only just caught up with it.In Edmonton in the 1970s,he was my boss and I later took over from him. Then, later,we were colleagues.A cheerful man, very easy to get on with and technically very helpful. We kept in touch over the years and he later stayed with us in England on a brief visit
around 2008.Never lost his Scots accent!

Sorry to hear of Dave's passing. It was always a pleasure to work with him during our time at Syncrude, and later have him as a neighbour.

So sorry to hear about Dave. He was a wonderful mining engineer, and was a great mentor for me during my early years at Syncrude in the late 70s and early 80s. He was always upbeat, had lots of humorous stories, and very wise technical advice. He certainly will be missed.
