Dear Paula and family,

I was so sorry to read of David's passing, and my heart goes out to you. My family bought Yale and Mary's house on ACI Street when they built their new one, and we lived there for the next seventeen years, neighbors and friends with the Adelman family.

Although David and I had lost touch over the years, I've always remembered and appreciated his kindness to me as a much younger boy. “Much younger” back then meant David was nearly grown up in my view, while I was still in the elementary grades. It was only after I grew older that I realized that, in fact, David was only in junior high at the time, and we were much closer in age than I thought.

Please accept my deepest sympathy. May it help to know that others will continue to remember David fondly.

Dear Paula and Family:
Barbara and I were saddened to hear of David's passing. We remember fondly the years at Lown when we would see the two of you together and then discover that what started out as a summer camp romance ended up as a lifelong relationship that blossomed over the years. The care and devotion you gave to Davey was a sign of the love the two of you shared. May you find comfort in the good years you had together and may the sustain you through this most trying period.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Paula, so sorry for you and your family's loss. Dave and I grew up together on ACI Street in Mars Hill. Although we did not see much of each after that we did have some contact while in college. When ever I needed a little pick-me-up during that time we'd go out to eat and life always seemed much better with his advice.

My deepest sympathies to David's family and many friends. I became acquainted with David during our service in the Air Guard. He and I enjoyed recollections of our Aroostook County upbringing. In recent years I looked forward to reconnecting with Dave at the Ellsworth store on my frequent trips to Maine. He was a good guy.

Dear Paula,
I was very sad to read in the Bangor Daily News the passing of David. He was quite a guy!!! It all goes back to our Camp Lown days together where the two of you met; and love blossomed. During David's lifetime he did amazing things for the community and was always doing for others. What a wonderful life you shared together.
Fondest Regards,
