DANVERS – Mr. David Alan Gotts 84, of Danvers, beloved husband of the late Janette (Anger) Gotts, died unexpectedly Sunday, July 2, 2017 at Beverly Hospital. Born in Buffalo, New York, he was the son of the late Raymond and Sylvia (Wagner) Gotts. He was raised and educated in Buffalo and was a graduate of Kensington High School. Upon graduation from High School, Mr. Gotts joined the ranks of Sunkist Growers Incorporated. This professional relationship would last for over 40 years until the time of his retirement in 1995. As a Sales Manager, David was respected by his colleagues and customers alike. He was dedicated to his profession. A loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, David was devoted to his family. He was a long-time resident of the Town of Danvers and was an avid golfer, who loved to camp and bowl. He was a member of the POGO Golf League at New Meadows Golf Club in Topsfield. Above all else he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren and was especially proud of all their accomplishments. He could often be found cheering them on from the sidelines or audience during their activities, with a smile on his face. He will be deeply missed. Sunday dinners will never be the same. David is survived by his daughters, Cindy Gotts of Danvers and Melanie Moon and her husband Peter of Middleton, his sons, Mark Gotts of Danvers, David Gotts and his wife Lynda of Danvers and Brett Gotts and his wife Maryanne of Topsfield, his fifteen grandchildren, Jessica, Matthew, Vanessa, Faith, Christopher, Amanda, Lindsay, Courtney, Emily, Brittany, Cassidy, Andrew and Keira and his great grandchildren Colby, Quinn, Layla and Grace and many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Jeffrey Gotts. ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours in the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home 167 Maple St., (rte 62) Danvers, Thursday, July 6th from 4 to 7 P.M. Our Deepest Sympathies to all of David's kids, GrandChildren and Great Grand Children. I've known David for 27 years, delivering his mail every day. We've shared a lot of laughters and some tears. He was one of my FAVORITE Customers, he listened to me every day and in return I had to listen to him every time he came back from the Casino with no money! Yup, I introduced him to Oxford Casino in Maine. He did enjoy his gambling. I'll miss him greeting me at the door with his great smile, never mind the treats and drinks he shared with me. He was the best and I am very sad to lose a great friend. Thinking of all of you.
Our Deepest Sympathies, Scott & Denise Moore
