David Rutledge Almond, 40, of Hot Springs, died Sunday, April 4, 2010. Born January 8, 1970 in Little Rock, Arkansas, to Roger and Jean Keithley Almond, he was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Joseph E. Kiethley and paternal grandparents, Stanley and Louella Almond. He was a graduate of Bryant High School, Southern Technical College and Arthur’s Beauty College. David worked for many years as a hair stylist. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, such as fishing and hiking. Survivors include a daughter, Kristin Weyenberg of Virginia Beach, Virginia; mother and father, Roger and Jean Almond of Hot Springs; sister and brother-in-law, Rachel and Chuck Mitchell of Owassa, Oklahoma; maternal grandmother, Hallie Keithley of Crocketts Bluff, Arkansas Memorial service will be 1:00 p.m. Friday at Gross Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Don Nolley officiating. Memorials may be made to Quapaw Community Center, 500 Quapaw Avenue, Hot Springs, AR 71901. Gross Funeral Home is in charge of cremation. Guest register at www.grossfuneralhome.com
