David Wayne Bailey, 56, of Lorton Lick Road, Bluefield, WV, passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at Princeton Community Hospital Bluefield ER.
Born on April 11, 1966, in Bluefield, he was a son of the late Thomas Ray and Betty Lewis Bailey. He had been a resident of Bluefield for 4 years and was a member of the Church of God. He was a coal miner.
Survivors include his wife, Rita Pennington Bailey; daughters, Nina Spanglehour and Robert of NC and Amanda Bailey of Glenwood; step-son, Austin Livley of Rock; a granddaughter, Anna Codd; brothers, Wesley Bailey and Laura of Princeton and Donald “Jess” Bailey and Robin of Duhring; sister, Cathy Thomas and Andrew of Durhing; father and mother in law, Lonnie and Loretta Pennington; nephews, Josh Horn and Mandy of PA and Jacob Horn of Rock; and nieces, Erica and Kayla Bailey of Princeton.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Bishop Mac Riggins officiating. Burial will follow at the Bailey Family Cemetery in Goodwill.
Friends may call prior to services on Saturday, from 10:00-11:00 at the funeral home.
Online condolences will be accepted at www.cravens-shires.com. Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell is serving the Bailey family.
