David Barker Obituary
The Presentation Sisters Care Centre aged 80 years.
Former Mayor of Matlock and
local councillor, he will be sadly
missed by his many friends.
A Thanksgiving Service will be held at All Saints' Church, Matlock on
Tuesday 19th November at 11:00am.
Donations in memory of David for the Motor Neurone Disease Association may be sent to Thomas Greatorex & Sons Ltd, 29 Knowleston Place, Matlock, DE4 3BU.

Sorry to have only just found out. As a member of the Royal Army Pay Corps Association and co-ordinator for the Royal British Legion, David had assisted us in re-establishing contact with the family of one of our own, commemorated on the Pic Tor memorial and buried in St Giles Churchyard, so that we could get an Elizabeth Cross to a deserving lady. A dependable for whose good offices I am grateful. RIP - FIDE ET FIDUCIA

Sad News for a close relative his second Cousin Bruce Gridley of Poole. He was an inspiration and loving relative and cousin to my Mother Mavis Hinchliffe. May he rest in Peace and knows he has done so much for the Community of Matlock for some 25 years +
