A Divine Soul.
David Blackmon, of Charlotte, NC, departed from this physical world onto his heavenly home. He leaves behind to cherish his precious memories, his wife of 67 years, Dorothy Mae (Hayes) Blackmon, 5 sons, David Blackmon, Jr., Elder Gary Blacckmon, Ronald Blackmon, Nathan Blackmon and Philip Blackmon. A daughter, Valerie Cornelius. Preceded in death by, son, Curtis Blackmon and daughter, Iris Blackmon-Thornton. Mr. Blackmon was employed by the Connecticut State Police Dept., Public Safety Division for 22 years, retiring in April of 1992. Service information is as follows: Saturday, February 26, 2022. Viewing, 10am to 11am. Service at 11am, at the Roseboro's Mortuary and Crematory, Inc., 4300 Statesville Road, Charlotte, NC 28269. Wishing Dave´s family my heartfelt sympathy. I worked with Dave for many years at the Connecticut Mental Health Center in New Haven. He was so kind to his co-workers and to the many patients we served. It was a true pleasure to have known him.
