Prayers of comfort, strength and peace to the Borchers family & friends. While I did not know Dave I have heard of a faith filled man that left a beautiful legacy in this world.
So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you. John 16:22

I´m so sorry to hear about Dave. I knew him from our time at DP&L. He was a great guy.

So sorry to hear about Dave -- we lived on the same floor of Founder's Hall at UD during freshman year. He was a great guy, personable, and a good friend to many.

Expressing deep condolences to the many rays of light surrounding Dave, a very strong light and important and loved member of the community. Peace and love to everyone during this tragic and difficult time.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of the family of Dave during this difficult time. Where we didn't know Dave personally, we heard many amazing stories from Michele over the years about this amazing individual. His light will continue to shine on all of his family and all the world. Dave "Chill" always reminded me of his Dad - Ed with that warm smile, humble demeanor and spiritual aura that just oozes goodness and class. I remember "Chill" as a talented athlete who loved to compete on the court and ball field. Just a man of respect in every facet of his life.
We will always keep Dave, Nicki and their beautiful children in our prayers.

David and his family are great neighbors. We will miss David immensely.

Truly a man of God. We have all been touched by his loving presence and I'm sure that his goodness and love will continue on through his wife & his kids. Thank you God for the blessing of Dave in our lives.

We are blessed to call him nephew, proud of his devotion to Faith and Family, Astounded by his generosity to others, now rest in the arms of Jesus, as you continue to watch over all those who love you Dave!

Dave was a great teacher at Minster, always made sure the kids understood completely. Heaven gained an Angel.

My wife and I were on the scene only a minute after it happen. While my wife was calling 911 I crawled in and tried to help the man I now know as (Dave Borchers). Although I couldn't get him out I want you to know he was not alone in this moment of despair. Although he was unconscious I talked to him until the paramedic arrived. I tried to give him as much comfort as possible ensuring him help was on the way and everything would be done to get him out. I am very sorry I couldn't have done more.

Although we have never met Dave, we did see him coaching at Russia and Ft. Loramie basketball games, we have been missing out. He sounds like a wonderful person. We are very sad for your loss and will be keeping all of you in our prayers.
