Nearly three years on, it´s still hard to accept that none of us will ever see Dave again. I hope his family can take comfort in realizing what a large and diverse group of people were proud to consider him a best friend.

I was so sorry to hear about the passing of David, and so sorry I missed the funeral. I have been on the road and just now checked my facebook. David, V.S., Raymond and I were the northside musketeers.

I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with David back in the 80s at Texas Commerce Bank. It has been quite a few years since I've seen him. I remember him as kind and fair man/co-worker with a great sense of humor. He will be missed.

I worked with Dave in the Chase Data Ctr for many years. He was one of the nicest, most caring persons I've known. Carol and family, you will never hear a bad word about him from those who worked with him. I will always remember Dave having a friendly smile and pleasant words. Heaven is welcoming him with open arms. ❤ The service this morning was lovely. I will miss seeing you Dave.

I was 18 and wet behind the ears when Dave took me into Computer Operations at TCB. Whatever I learned about how to be a good manager, I learned from him. Rest in Peace Sir!

I'm so, so sorry for your loss and my prayers are with the family. I remember when I met Dave in late 1970 after being at the bank for a short while. Knowing Dave was a true blessing. He always seem to make you feel that you were important. I'm sure he will be remembered fondly by everyone.

Dave was a wonderful person and a joy to work with at the bank. Dave cared for his employees, customers, coworkers, family, and friends. He was a true team player.
I can only imagine what a great father, husband, and grandfather Dave was. Heaven was created for people like Dave. We miss him now but can look forward to being reunited with him when God calls us home.
Thank you Dave for your life and friendship.

Any afterlife worthy of belief will have fishes to catch, old dogs for comfort, well-aged whiskey, and old friends and departed family to share those things with you. Bon voyage, old friend.
