Entered into rest on May 11, 2020. Beloved husband to Carol (Hencinski), loving father to Elizabeth (Thomas) Potempa and David Jr. (Sarah) Bubar; favorite role of Grandpa to Logan, Sophia and Liam; son of the late John and Mary (Fields) Bubar; dearest brother to Mary Jo, Thomas (Judy), John (Kathie), Kathy (Ken) Schupp, and Richard (Cheryl); dearest brother-in-law to Janet (David) Bogdan and the late Steve (Mary) Hencinski; survived by many nephews, nieces, and many other family. Born in Buffalo and worked as a professional in the restaurant industry, but best known for his role as a bartender. Stops include Pizza John's, Hooligan's, Danny Ocean's, Jack's Place, Calvaneso's, and Kennedys Cove. At one time was ranked as the top softball fastball pitcher in WNY. Lived his last three years as a resident of the McGuire Harris Hill nursing home. No prior visitation, A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Mary's Church in Swormville at a later time. Arrangements by Perna, Dengler, Roberts Funeral Home.
