David Harris D'Orazio, 61, of Bentleyville, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, Sept. 28, 2014, in the emergency department at Monongahela Valley Hospital. He was born Oct. 23, 1952, in Washington, Pa., a son of the late Dominick "Tingo" D'Orazio and Jorene Harris D'Orazio of Bentleyville, who survives. Dave was a 1970 graduate of Bentworth High School and attended California University of Pennsylvania. For the past 28 years, along with his brother Donald, he owned and operated D'Orazio's Auto Service in Bentleyville. He worked in the family business for more than 50 years. He was a lifelong member of the Ave Maria Parish, Bentleyville and was an active member of the Bentleyville Historical Society. Dave especially loved playing trombone with the Bentleyville Fireman's Band and the Mon Valley Community Band and he enjoyed motorcycle trips with his friends and hunting on his uncle's farm. On April 23, 1977, he married Christine M. Rossi D'Orazio, who survives. Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are two sons, Scott D'Orazio (Jennifer) of York, Pa., and Nicholas D'Orazio of Canonsburg; two sisters, Donna Sinozich (Michael) of Washington, Pa., and Judy Kelley of Pittsburgh; two brothers, Donald D'Orazio (Jennifer) of Scenery Hill and Daniel D'Orazio (Linda) of Belle Vernon; and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Deceased in addition to his father is a brother-in-law, Edward Kelley. Dave will be missed immensely by his family and countless number of friends. Friends were received Tuesday and Wednesday in the GREENLEE FUNERAL HOME, 619 Main Street, Bentleyville, Pa., where prayers will be said, Thursday, Oct. 2, 2014 at 9:15 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in the Ave Maria Roman Catholic Church, Bentleyville, Pa., with the Rev. Edward L. Yuhas as celebrant. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Monongahela, Pa. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Bentleyville Volunteer Fire Department, 900 Main Street #100, Bentleyville, PA. 15314, or the Mon Valley Community Band, c/o Greenlee Funeral Home, 619 Main Street, Bentleyville, PA. 15314.
