We say good-bye to another proud, brave WWII Flyboy. Dave will be sadly missed by those of us who had the honor of knowing him and calling him our friend.

Dave rarely missed the weekly Wednesday gathering of the 8th Air Force Historical Society. In fact just two weeks ago he asked for help in finding the flight stats on the Bombers that flew over Berlin and Scheinfurt, to see what happened to the crews that didn't make it back to England. Dave was so well read and always wanted to know more and offer more to others.

We'll also miss the beautiful yearly Christmas photo of Dave and his Great-grandchildren.

Thanks for the Memories.

Rest in Peace, Dave.

I am Dave brother John and as a fellow service man it was a honour knowing him and sharing stories about the military. As a brother it was wonderful to share all the the great times he had with his family. He took many trips to China and to New Zealand
and other places. He loved his Children and grandchildren and was proud of them and best of all great loved by each of them. He was bless and lived a full life. I will miss his caring and loving support as a brother.

I loved Dave before I met him - when John first told me of the freighter trip! That love of life, determination to truly live resonated with me. And I love him after I met him. I don't think we agreed on anything - but we'd grin at each other while disagreeing! I will truly miss this wonderful, crazy man.

I always greatly enjoyed talking to Dave. His eyes always lit up when he was telling us about his many experiences. We'll miss him at the 8th Air Force Luncheons where he had many friends.

His sister Shirley and I enjoyed his telling of his war experiences, his travels aboard the freighters around the world, and his extreme good luck in his contests! Reading his letters (although a bit of a challenge) was a welcome treat. I will remember Dave as a most remarkable man. Maretta Muxlow
