David Lowell Decker, 61, passed away on Monday, April 6, 2015.
Born in Franklin County, he was the son of the late Crof and Louise Kesler Decker. Mr. Decker attended Franklin County Schools, North Georgia College from 1972-1975 where he was a member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity, Kappa Chapter. He also attended the University of Georgia from 1975-1978 and received his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy Degree and was a member of the Kappa Psi Fraternity. Mr. Decker was associated with CVS Pharmacy in Clayton, Georgia as a registered Pharmacist since 1996 and was a member of Fairview Baptist Church in Franklin County.
Survivors include his wife Mary Ann Henson Decker of Demorest, son Quentin Decker of Athens, brothers Laran Decker of Lavonia, Tim Decker of Rex and Steve Decker and wife Audrey of Tiger, sister, Anita Bell and husband Mark of Gainesville and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2pm Saturday, April 11th at the chapel of Bernstein Funeral Home with entombment to follow in Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Bernstein from 6-8 pm on Friday, April 10th.
Jeff Decker, Philip Nestor, Everett Sawyer, Derrick Fowler, Herschel Mize, and Scott Seguin will serve as pallbearers.
Flowers are welcome or contributions may be sent to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 3715 Northside Pkwy, Bldg 400, Atlanta, GA 30327.

David's passing dropped a cloud over the pharmacy community in Rabun County. David's humor, insights, and advice will be missed by all of us. Most pharmacists usually know one another only through telephone calls, but I was fortunate enough to have met David several times, including one notable UGA football game. He'll be missed.
