David Anthony Gallo, age 81, died on April 15, 2023, at home. The oldest of three children, David was born December 11, 1941, in Walla Walla to Tony and Evelyn Gallo. He graduated from Walla Walla High School in 1959 and attended Columbia Basin College.
David went to work for the Corps of Engineers in 1960 until his retirement in 1999. He started his Federal career as a Surveying Aide and then, in 1971, was selected for a Computer Information Management position. David was later reassigned to Computer Specialist until his retirement. He was a certified Engineer technician.
David married Judy (Brandon) Siddon in 1974. He was a past member of the BPOE Lodge and the Retired Corps of Engineers and a member of Assumption Catholic Church.
David’s favorite pastime was attending and watching football and baseball games, and he also loved to fish.
Survivors include his wife at home; stepdaughter and son-in-law, Laura and Torm Siverson of Oxford, Florida; two grandchildren, Hayden and Camryn Siverson of Florida; and a sister, Andrea Conner of Kennewick. He was preceded in death by his mother and father and his brother, Doug.
At his request, there will not be a service.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice through the Herring Groseclose Funeral Home, 315 W. Alder St., Walla Walla, WA 99362. In addition, friends and family are invited to sign the online guestbook at www.herringgroseclose.com.
