David Eric Gassner
Gassner - It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of David Eric Gassner of Regina on September 10, 2011 at age 27. David was born at Kindersley, SK on December 19, 1983. He took his early education at Elizabeth School and Kindersley Composite High. He then attended University of Regina taking 2 years of Film & Video. He took a year off and then returned to university to study Business Administration - Marking and received his degree (with distinction) in 2009. At the time of his passing David was working as a Market Analyst/Customer Service Rep for SaskTel. David was predeceased by his grandparents - Harry & Audrey Gassner and Ernest & Vivian Drebert. He leaves to mourn his partner Wendy Ganong & his infant son Darwin of Regina, parents Allan & Glenda Gassner of Kindersley, his 3 brothers Neil (Briana) & their children - Anthony, Dylan & Ethan of Kindersley, Grant (Linda) & their daughter - Ella of Vaasa, Finland & Adam of Saskatoon. The funeral service for David was held Friday, September 16 at 2:00 p.m.at the Clearview Brethren In Christ Church in Kindersley, SK with Pastor Dave Wicks officiating. Active pallbearers were Luke Fandrich, Tyler Cyrenne, Landon Becker, Mark Dobson, Morgan Rosvold & Greg Roesler. Ushers were Greg Becker, Michael Kopp, Curtis Kornelson & Bruce Gassner. The eulogy was read by his brothers Neil, Grant & Adam. Brenda Walde was the pianist & Bryan Greer was the soloist. Tributes were read by Wendy Ganong & Brett Howie. A Power Point presentation was done by Vivian Gassner. David was laid to rest at the Clearview Cemetery, north-west of Kindersley. Donations in his memory may be made to The Canadian Diabetes Association, 917A Albert Street, Regina, SK S4R 2P6 Arrangements entrusted the Kindersley Community Funeral Home.
