Sam - so much time has passed and yet I still remember so much of our many musical adventures together. Starting at South Jr High and the first gig you, Tim and I played together for the Elementary school choir. We jammed on In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida after for who knows how long. I miss the magic.

Has it really been 7 years? Sam, you were a major part of the best music I was ever involved in. "North" was something special. We had a communication that was unspoken. We all just knew what each other was going to do, going to play. I will always be grateful that we were able to get together for that one last gig. It was as if the 25 years had never gone by. The magic was still there. Miss you, and Jeff too.

Sam, the hours and days and years we spent so much time together, working out our music stuff... there was a vibrancy, a synergy that was hard to describe, but it was there. You are so missed. No one could fly on that violin like you could! Farewell, my good friend. Peace.

I too will miss Sammy. He explained to me not just how to work a computor, but how computor language was developed - way over my head but such things came easily to his mind. Every May I'd expect a call, the anniversary date of when he closed on his house. I was his realtor / friend and he always called to remind me how much he liked the place. I thank the good Lord for rescuing Sammy's soul and spirit and welcoming him into His house of many mansions.

I knew Sam for about 45 years as we were neighbors. He was a character. Growing up together, we hung out a lot in the old days & I used to watch him when his parents went out. He was a great musician & we used to play guitars together, but I was way out of his league. When you get there, tell my brother Mike to be good to you.

Sam was a lifelong friend and musician. We were on the road together with the band "North" for many years after we graduated from Berklee College of Music.

For those of you who want to read more about him, please seek out the "Friends of North" group page on Facebook.

I miss you my friend and we are still trying to decide how best to commemorate your life and talent.

I have such fond memories of Sam. We were in Orchestra together at Eisenhower H.S. I was first chair Flute, and he was first chair Violin. We were good friends back then. Sam was so incredibly talented. And he had such a huge warm heart. I'm very sad I didn't reach out to him and keep in touch. I will miss him. Rest in Peace Sam. May music always surround you.
