In looking back in Peoria days, I happened upon David's obituary. I am so sorry for your loss. Steve and Denny, yours was one of the first families I met when my dad was called to be the pastor of Grace Lutheran. You welcomed us and I think my dad confirmed at least Steve and David. I know its been years since David died but I wanted to still share my condolences with you. I hope you are both well. God's blessings. (Sue Moore) Schneider

Sheree, Ryan & Dustin:
The first time I laid eyes on David, I knew that he was going to have a special place in my heart and my life. He was a wonderful "little brother" to me many years ago and was a fabulous uncle to Staci and Jason through the years. I'm not sure if he knew (but I have an inkling he did) how very much he was loved by so many people. I can't help but think that for most, to know David was to love him. Hold the memories of Dave close to your hearts and he will always be with you. You have my most sincere sympathy...and my love.

Hopefully, Dave will send signs from above when Joe gets in those moods to do something that Dave would say...."I don't think so Tim". What a wonderful life he lived. What a truly wonderful friend, neighbor, handy man, person. We will truly miss the gingerbread lights, but will always leave the fish on the chimney!!!

Charlie and I were so saddened to read of Dave's passing. Sheree, I have thought of you guys so often since our move from Creighton Terrace, how much fun we had when the kids were small and our gut busting laughter at Dave's stupid jokes. You and the boys are in our prayers

First I would like to share my condolences, as well as my entire families condolences, with the entire Greiner family at this time of sorrow. I loved Dave...his sense of humor, his always smiling face. Whether it was at soccer, baseball or even at Tattler's we always had a great time. It is such a shame we lose touch with those who have brought so much joy and laughter to our lives and even though we may never say it directly to their faces, they just know. Dave, I know you are looking down on us, with that great smile, telling us everything will be fine, life is for the living and we will get past this. I haven't seen you or Sheree in several years, but my thoughts were always with you and your family. You were fortunate to be so loved, and although I didn't know your entire family, I always considered Dustin one of my boys! I was blessed to have known you!

Aunt Sheree, Ryan & Dustin,
Our deepest sympathies to all of you. Our thoughts and prayers are with you now and always.
Take comfort in your memories.
In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.
