PLAISTOW, N.H. — Mr. David G. Hailson, 68, of Plaistow, and formerly Haverhill, died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2008 at his residence.
He was born in Methuen April 3, 1939, son of the late Daniel and Evelyn (Dow) Hailson, was educated in the Methuen Public Grammar Schools, and was a graduate of Haverhill Trade School.
In 1970, Dave joined the Haverhill Fire Dept and was assigned to the Essex Street, Water Street and 16th avenue stations. He also served in the U.S. Army Reserves and the National Guard.
Dave was a simple man who was devoted to his family and his church.
He was a member of the Firefighters Union Local 1011, Served as a Trustee at the Christian Missionary Alliance Church, and had served on the Board of Noah's Ark Day Care Center at the Church..
His survivors include his wife of 44 years, Anne C. (Comeau) Hailson of Plaistow, two sons David G. Hailson II, and his wife Claire of Haverhill, James D. and his wife Brenda M. Hailson of Plaistow, a daughter Ellen J. and her husband Kenneth R. Palmer of Haverhill, nine grandchildren, Meghann, Katie, Caroline, Brianna, Mandi, and Sarah Hailson, Jake, Justin and Joshua Palmer, and several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to his funeral Monday at 11 a.m. at the Christian Missionary Alliance Church, 284 Kenoza Ave., Haverhill. Spring burial will be in the family lot at Hillside Cemetery. Calling hours at the H.L Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill, will be Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Precious Gems Learning Center, 278 Groveland St., Haverhill MA 01830; or the Christian Missionary Alliance Church, 284 Kenoza Ave., Haverhill, MA 01830.
