I was so sorry to hear of Dave's death. I knew him only through e-mail and a few phone conversations that we had last summer when he was re-barreling my rolling block. The impression gained from that contact was that he was a man of integrity, skill and knowledge. I love my rifle and will cherish it even more now that it is probably one of the last he worked on. My condolences to his family and friends. My God bless Dave and his family. They should be comforted by the assurance that he is now in the arms of the Lord.

Katha and family,
We are sorry for your loss. Though we never met in person, it was always a pleasure to speak with Mr. Higginbotham on the phone. His postive attitude and joy for life brightened up the day instantly. He will be greatly missed.

I had the pleasure of speaking to Dave a short time before his death. I was moved by how helpful he was, and willing to devote time to answering my questions. I was shocked and saddened to hear we have lost such a talented, thoughtful man. I'm sorry for your loss.

Katha, again, I just want to say how much Garry and I enjoyed David's cutting up in class, yet very serious-minded attitude about the salvation of others. He will be sorely missed by us all. We do take comfort in knowing that he is no longer suffering the arthrtic pain he asked us to pray about, and he is in heaven with our Lord celebrating and having a grand ol' time. We will all meet again where there will be no more separation and no more prayers for hurting hearts and bodies. Please join us again soon in Sunday School. You're a sweet, precious lady, and we miss you, too. Love, Tami and Garry

It has been more than a few years since I barreled rifles for Dave. Nice to see that Lonestar and Dave have a good reputation in the firearms manufacturing industry. They will be missed! One last salute from another Viet Nam veteran.

We will forever miss David's wittiness, his sincereity, his smile, his love for life, his love for his family & friends, the naming of Biblical names, and most of all his love for his Lord Jesus. Our SS class will not be the same without David. There will be a definite void without him but the Lord is now taking care of him. No more pain and aches. He has been Heavenly healed. Love in Christ, the Sherbers

Katha,
We thought of you and Dave as our "extended shooting family!" We have always thought highly of Dave as a craftsman, promoter of the black powder competitions, and his pure love of the shooting sport. You as his partner in life, shooting, and so much more, stood as a testiment to your faith, committment, and dedication. Together, you inspired others to seek a new life in Christ. May the Lord bless you and keep you, forever holding you in his hand. We keep you in our prayers!

Katha & Family,
My deepest condolences. Words cannot express how saddened I am. For all of the times I spoke to or was with him, Dave was always a gentleman, full of genuine humor & happiness, and a very peasant man to deal with & be around. I have always considered him to be a friend. He will be deeply missed and my memories of him will always be cherished.

Dearest Katha,
How our hearts grieve for you. We are deeply saddened at the loss of our brother in Christ. Dave was an upstanding, faithful soldier in the Lord's army. He was a credit to the arms community he served with integrity and excellence. He will be sorely missed.
Although our contact with you both has been infrequent, the bond we share in Christ, has kept you near to our hearts. We are at a loss for words to express our sorrow. Let us know if there is anything at all we can do for you.
We will fervently pray for you now and in the coming days. May God comfort you and your family with that divine peace that goes beyond human understanding.

Katha,
We are so saddened for your loss. Our hearts have been heavy since we heard of Dave's passing. We have all lost a wonderful friend and a man who loved God with all his heart. Our Sunday School won't be the same without his comments. His sense of humor and his story telling are legend and we were very blessed to have had his wisdom and wit each week as we studied the scripture together.
We know that soon we will all be together again worshiping our Lord and Savior around the throne. That truth makes these tears we shed easier to bear.
God bless you and please know that you are in our prayers and we are here for you.
We love you,
David and LaDean

Katha and Family
I am sorry to hear of your great loss. My time spent with Dave was limited, but I was always impressed by the fact that our conversations wich began with firearms or hunting eventually lead to something far greater, a common relationship through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I am saddened by the loss of a family man, a friend, and a contributor to the firearms industry, but I am comforted knowing that our/your loss is only temporary. Jesus tells us that a tree is recognized by the fruit that it produces. The short amount of time that I spent with Dave revealed that he lived his life for something far greater than himself.
Sincerely,
Todd Moore

Katha and family, may God comfort and embrace each of you at this time. While I did not know Dave personally, I transacted a piece of business with him by phone some years ago. My memory of that first conversation is Dave's mention of his "Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ." As a believer, that spoke volumes to me about Dave as a man. Don Howe (IN)
